Top 5 reasons to give cloth diapers a try.

1. Save big bucks.  A child will go through approximately 6,000-10,000 diapers by the time he or she potty trains.  This means you could roughly spend $1,500-$2,500.  Cloth diapers can cost you anywhere from $150-$900, including minimal costs of laundering .

2. Your baby’s comfort. Cloth diapers allow air circulation because cloth is breathable, whereas disposables are made of paper and plastic.

3. Save the earth. Did you know that one baby will produce approximately two tons of non-biodegradable waste by the time they are potty trained?  Did you know that disposable diapers can take up to 500 years to decompose?  Reduce waste by using cloth; reuse your diapers over and over; recycle by selling or giving away your diapers when no longer needed.

4. Potty training is easier and quicker.  In 1961 (this is the year disposables made their debut) 90% of children were potty trained by the time they were 2.  Today only 4% are potty trained by that age.

5. Gel free diapers for a little bum.  Sodium polyacrylate is the chemical in disposable diapers which makes them super absorbent.  This is the chemical that was removed from Tampons when it was linked to Toxic Shock Syndrome.
